Action Learning

Green chalkboard with a concept of a successful man helping others, a leader helping team.

Action learning, sometimes referred to as group or peer coaching, provides a group setting in which each member will be supported, encouraged and challenged by other group members as they explore issues they face, commit to action and reflect on outcomes.  The focus is on the individual learning of each member rather than the group itself, distinguishing it from team coaching.  It provides the opportunity, guided by the facilitator coach, for each member to benefit from peer coaching, gain skills in effective dialogue with colleagues and experience coaching others.

Action learning groups work best with between 4 and 6 members, allowing time for each to bring an issue forward to the group at each meeting.
